As the role of biomedical engineering develops and expands to include services in small offices and clinics, the tabletop sterilizer has become an increasing service presence.
This presentation will provide the history and current state of tabletop steam sterilization as well as basic information on the operation, repair, and maintenance of some of the most common tabletop sterilizers in use today. Troubleshooting tips, repair techniques and preventative maintenance will be a focal point of the presentation. In addition, a comparison between tabletop sterilizers and bulk sterilizers will be a lively part of the discussion.
A sterilizer will be on hand for demonstration and some hands-on education including a presentation of cycle steps and their relationship to individual systems. Course materials will be distributed to attendees
